How MADA Booth works, from setup to photo in hand
MADA Booth consists of three connected parts: the app on your photo booth, the online management platform and the sharing page for guests. This page explains what happens at each step.
The three components
The booth app for Windows
Runs on the PC in your photo booth. It controls the camera, start button, screen and printer, and securely stores each photo on the booth first.
The management platform
Available online at app.madabooth.nl, on desktop and mobile. This is where you manage booths, events, designs, pricing, schedules and reports.
The sharing page for guests
Each session gets its own page with a QR code. Guests can view and download their photos there, with no app or account required.

Preparing an event
- Connect your booth. Install MADA Booth on your booth's Windows PC. A pairing code appears on the screen. Enter it under Booths in the management platform. The booth is then linked to your account and visible online.
- Create an event. Enter the date, location and customer. This tells the booth which event it is running on each day.
- Choose a design. Choose a start screen, photo strip and, if you like, a custom background video in your customer's brand style. You'll see a preview instantly.
- Set up the guest experience. For each event, set the number of photos per session, the countdown, filters, GIF or boomerang, printing and the number of copies.
- Set up. The admin dashboard sends the settings to the booth. The status only changes to 'Applied' once the booth confirms that everything has been received. That way, you know exactly what is running on-site.
What happens during a photo session
- Start. The guest presses the start button or taps the screen. If you use paid sessions, the guest first pays via a QR code on their phone.
- Countdown and photos. The booth counts down and takes photos with your chosen camera: webcam or DSLR. The original file is always saved unedited. Filters and crops are stored as separate copies.
- Result and QR code. Immediately after the session, the guest sees the photo strip and a QR code linking to their personal sharing page. The QR code appears without waiting for the printer.
- Printing. The photo strip is sent to the photo printer, optionally printed twice on one sheet and cut automatically. If a print fails, you can reprint it from the admin dashboard.
- Secure storage and delivery. The photos are first saved on the booth and then uploaded to online storage. A photo is only marked as sent once the server confirms receipt.
After the event
Albums for each event
All sessions are listed by event and date under Photos and guests. You can view, download and delete photos.
Share with your client
Give your client access to the album or download link, fully branded in their own style.
Revenue and usage
Reports show sessions, prints and revenue by booth, location and event, with export to Excel.
Automatic clean-up
Once the retention period you set has expired, the system automatically deletes the photos.
The party continues, even without internet
Start locally
A prepared booth will start even without internet at the venue, using the latest confirmed design and settings.
Nothing gets lost
Photos remain on the booth until they have been sent. Once the connection is restored, sending resumes automatically.
Printing continues
Printing takes place on the booth itself and does not require an internet connection.
Remote management and support
Live status
For each booth, you can see whether it is online or in a session, check the status of the camera, printer and network, and view the time of the last contact.
Service menu with code
On-site staff can open the service menu using their own service code. Guests cannot access it.
Watchdog
If the booth freezes, it recovers automatically and returns to the start screen.
Updates
Install new versions using the MADA Booth installer. Your settings, booth connection and photos are preserved.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything on my phone?
No. The management portal works in a browser on both computers and phones. Guests do not need an app either.
What if the printer jams?
The QR code and sharing page work independently of the printer. You can reprint a failed print later via Print Management.
Can I manage multiple photo booths at once?
Yes. All photo booths appear in one overview, each with its own event and settings.
How quickly is a change applied to the photo booth?
Usually within a few seconds once the photo booth is online. The dashboard shows when the photo booth has confirmed the change.
